Diabolical various

With nine colour plates of original infernal artwork from Stafford
Stone, Kyle Fite, Thomas Karlsson, and Johnny Jakobsson.
Bound in red cloth shot through with charred black.
The cover is stamped with the devil's verse in heavy black fractur.
It comes in an edition of 999 copies, hand numbered in dragon's blood ink.
A copy of the No Smoke Without Fire Edition can be yours for thirty-five English pounds.
The Grimoire tradition is being reinvigorated in the living practice of the carcists, magicians and sorcerors who dare to work with these books.
Those of us who do this work, regardless of whether we trepass amongst the angels or daemons, are often slandered as diabolical. Our books are also regarded as diabolical, being incomprehensible, demonic and without spiritual or practical value.
We throw this back at our accusers by demonstrating that these books are more complex than black and white theology allows, and as repositories of forbidden knowledge are worth their weight in gold. This is where the spirits lie.
We are upholding our side of the pact and continuing to produce the most groundbreaking and relevant titles of the modern occult revival. To this end, Scarlet Imprint have convened an international cabal of writers and artists from England, Poland, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Canada and America.
Our writers for this project are:
Jake Stratton-Kent
Eric de Pauw
Aaron Leitch
Paul Hughes-Barlow
Mark Smith
Stafford Stone
Thomas Karlsson
Johnny Jakobsson
The Anonymous author of Pharaoan
Humberto Maggi
John J. Coughlin
Krzysztof Azarewicz
Donald Tyson
Kyle Fite
These individuals meet for the first time within the pages of our newest title, Diabolical and give tongue to their excursions into these texts and others:
The Red Dragon/Grand Grimoire
Grimorium Verum
Lemegeton
The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage
The Testament of Solomon
The Nightside of Eden
The Wisdom of S'lba
Qutub

Volume 1: The True Grimoire
The True Grimoire
by Jake Stratton-Kent
In stock now for immediate dispatch
The True Grimoire is a substantial octavo book of 280pp.
The text is profusely illustrated with characters, sigils, magic squares, and pontos riscados.
It is bound in verdant green book cloth, bloody endpapers and stamped with a rubeus memento mori.
This is a volume with presence, as befits one housing so many spirits.
It is being prepared in a strictly limited and hand-numbered edition of a thousand copies.
A copy of the Death's Head edition can be yours for thirty-five English pounds plus postage.
The True Grimoire is a major contribution to the practice and study of Goetic magic.
The neglected Grimorium Verum has been restored to it's rightful place as a potent and coherent system of Goetic magic.
The True Grimoire springs from the source of Goetic magic, enabling us to unlock the secrets of the other grimoires. We are given insights into the Dragon Rouge, Key of Solomon, Lemegeton, Abramelin, Honorius and the Black Pullet. This is a treasure trove for the student of magic.
The True Grimoire lets us experience a grimoire tradition with links back to the Graeco-Egyptian Magical Papyri and the necromancy of the original Goes. It also places Verum within a living tradtion, one which has taken root in the New World, finding expression in Quimbanda and the Legion of Exus, the 'People of the Cemetery' who have clear Verum equivalents.
A great new review of Voudon Gnosis by Freya Aswynn, which can also be found at her blog here
Voudon Gnosis Review by Freya Aswynn
Ever so rare a book comes along which changes ones
paradigm permanently. The first book which impacted on my mind and set
my magickal Path was: Secrets of Dr Taverner by Dion Fortune and this
was in Dutch in 1968.
Many books came after, and now in 2008 forty years later another book has a
similar impact.: Voudon Gnosis by David Beth a genuine Adept and True
initiator.
This book is beautifully produced in shiny black cover embossed with a Seal.
I am reading it for the second time, it’s not a big book, but the content is a condensed version of various systems of Magick under the umbrella of Voudon.
I think that the term Voudon is used here as ‘Spirits Work’ and does not exclusively apply to the African Magickal Tradition but
can equally implemented within a Germanic/Norse magickal paradigm.
How could it be otherwise any True initiation manual has to be ‘universalist’.
Yes, my dear Asatru friends I am universalist, guilty as charged! Like it or lump it!
Any authentic occult system will correspond with others. This book is full of ‘triggers’ opening channels of knowledge, which reside in the collective Mind. If we consider the scientific fact that the Black Race is the oldest form of Homo Sapiens the first to appear from Africa and dispersing all overthe planet, it stands to reason that their gods and mysteries are also the oldest on the planet, from which may all others could be derived.
In the Nordic system here is mention of a primal goddess named ‘Nott’ or Night’.
This is not a book for beginners, it’s far to complicated and one must have
an familiarity with the occult concepts and jargon. But for those who
want to go beyond religion into the magick it’s a must. Some serious
excellent sorcery!
It has a strong content of‘sexual’ magick, perhaps this must seem odd to you my faithful friends
as I am a sworn celibate, however it doesn’t stop me adapting it intomy own magickal work obviously without breaking my vows.
There are only 550 copies printed so get your order in NOW! Let’s face it if
it’s beyond you current scope of occult understanding you either study
hard and catch on sell it one year later on Ebay for a multiplicity of
the money you paid.
Topics include: Las
Prise des Yeaux, Points Chauds, Spider Sorcery and Time Travelling,
Elemental Sex Magick and The Grimoire Ghuehde; there are also two
appendices ‘Nganga and the Fetish’ and ‘A-Mor: an initiated analysis of
Love’. Author David Beth is the Sovereign Grand Master for the
international Voudon Orders and is the Presiding Bishop of the Ecclesia
Aeterna.
For those who are really interested but hesitant I suggest listening to the pod cast of David.

Scarlet Imprint has done it again. Another ravishing text which combines tasteful production with quality writing. Bound in saffron coloured book cloth with a cut back design which, depending on how you look at it, is either a chalice or two faces about to kiss. By all means judge this book by its beautiful cover.
The collection of essays found in Devoted are tales of the bhakti yoga of modern magick. Levannah Morgan described her allegiance to Inanna. Stephen Grasso leads us into the society of the Loa. Peter Grey reveals more on his worship of Babalon. In total fifteen essays, which provide an excellent range, both in style of writing and of the diverse of spirits to which the contributors are consecrated.
In common with previous productions from this energetic publishing house, we have not only quality and substance but also novelty, for these are quintessentially modern practitioners of the arcane arts. If nothing else this book demonstrates successfully that prayerful, even 'religious' praxis within occultism is thriving. Through these essays we are introduced to fourteen occultists who have a living relationship with their gods. This makes a pleasant change from the model that presents spirits as being endogenous psychic productions.
My only reservation is that I want more! (But perhaps that is the doom of those who are devoted!) Not merely more details about methodology (some of the writers in this collection are painfully honest about their techniques). I guess it's that Devoted left me hungry for more of the intensity of experience that our authors have found in their adorations.
In Devoted we hear voices that speak directly from the visionary state. This book is a poetic download from magicians living in the rapture of their gods, and their hymns of praise are quite intoxicating.

Voudon Gnosis author David Beth gives an extensive interview for episode 55 of the respected podcast 'Occult of Personality'.
Plenty of good information on the voudon systems of Michael Bertiaux and a clear explanation of David's magickal philosophy.

DEVOTED
Scarlet Imprint, London;
Winter Solstice, 2008; limited edition of 814 copies.
This
is not a book about dark deities, or a volume of ready-made incantations
and rituals. So many occult volumes published these days continue
to be instruction manuals, rehashing of established systems or new ones
created from whole cloth. At best, we are treated to a few anecdotal
stories from the authors if they have in fact worked the systems they
write about. All in all, the magick books of the 21st Century
are cast from the same mold that was used a century ago.
This
book is different: it throbs with passion, blood and divine intoxication.
It is personal... even intimate, because it is essentially a collection
of lovers' diaries. The Beloved, in this case, is the goddess
or god that has chosen each of the 14 writers to be hir suitor.
This is bhakti yoga, the path of Devotion, in action. Here are
the piquant fruits that come after all the theory and practice, after
long years of penetrating a Mystery.
Evocation
is one thing, invocation is another. Evocation is calling in Merry
Maids to tidy up your house and then sending them on their way; invocation
is inviting one woman or man to move into your house and become your
partner -- devotion. Invocation involves surrender, and trust,
and the willingness to share one's darkest dreams, fears and desires
with the Other. It is an opening of the heart and the shedding
of blood and essence. A relationship always requires sacrifice,
and in the case of the God/esses, the sacrifice is all-encompassing:
body, mind, and heart.
Some
of the devotees in this volume do risk their health and sanity in the
name of Love. Skin is flayed, pierced and tattoed. Poisons
are injected. Possession is invited. The sense of separate
self -- obliterated. Risking All "for love's sake; for the
chance of union." None of the writers express regret or disappointment
for their efforts; all feel they have been richly rewarded, and that
the relationship and rewards will only grow.
Subscribers
to Babalon.nu will find much of value in this book, I think; its focus
is mostly on the Dark Goddess, whether in the form of Ishtar, Babalon,
Lilith, the Yoginis, Tiamat or Hecate. The re-arising of the Sacred
Feminine is well represented. But Dionysos, Loki, the Lwa and
the spirits of the Goetia are here as well.
Another refreshing thing about this volume is, like a previous Scarlet Imprint title -- Howlings -- you get to hear voices from the many traditions that make up the 21st Century magical revival. Thelema is, at best, tangential to these discussions. Most of the authors are followers of the Witch Craft, tantrika, Voodoo, sorcery or are simply eclectic magicians, and in one case, an academician. The public face of magick is only a small part of the picture. I believe the de-centralization of magick is what will ensure its survival as the walls of civilization come tumbling down.

Dear Friends,
Devoted has been sent out to all those who have pre-ordered.
The saffron book cloth came in a week late, it seems that this book wanted to wait for the New Year to be sent.
It has surpassed our expectations.
The pictures do it some justice, but as with all books, you need to feel it in your hands.
We collected the books from the printer two days before Solstice.
On the way we stopped at a Stonehenge owned by corvids, safe behind English Heritage fences.
No pagans allowed to walk on the grass. The moorland bare. Sacred geometry now carved up by a triangle of roads.
It makes what we do with Scarlet Imprint seem all the more relevant, making books for those who are connected to the animating
spirits of magick and witchcraft. Neither gazing back at a lost megalithic past, or slackly staring at the mass-produced spectacle.
We are not interested in a magickal revival, we are creating a magickal revolution Now.
Howlings, The Red Goddess, Voudon Gnosis and now Devoted has made this quite a year.
Scarlet Imprint are not only here to stay, we are here to go.
We offer up profound gratitude to our readers for being an inspiration to us, for your support and letters.
We thank those writers who have made this past year such a whirlwind.
Libations are poured to Babalon for Love, and the Spirits of Goetia for making themselves known to us.
We are in voluntary exile in the mountains for the Winter now.
Much Work to do this year, and plans are very much in place.
Our replies to emails may be a little slower over the next two weeks with Saturnalia and limited net access.
Expect some spectacular books to be born in 2009 starting in the Spring, not Lambs but Lions.
Much Love

Dear Friends,
Our printers have just delivered the re-print of Voudon Gnosis to us.
It has been a frustrating delay for our readers and David Beth, but the
wait is now over. We settle for nothing less than excellence.
We would also like to make it clear that we are using a different printer for Devoted and all future titles. But let's leave talk of that until after the weekend..

Finally, a clear exposition of the Voudon Gnostic system of Michael Bertiaux
and the work of La Couleuvre Noire.
The thriving multiverse of artistic imagination which this current represents
has been explored by Kenneth Grant, but this is the first text giving
the inside experience of an initiand.
A fascinating and challenging glimpse into the Voudon system, it is both
a gateway for students and an inspiration for those looking for a more
creative occultism.
This book is a perfect introduction to the complexities of that strangest
of all modern grimoires, Bertiaux'sVoudon Gnostic
Workbook.
Expanding upon the groundwork of his essay in Howlings,
David Beth guides us through this eclectic, syncretic and highly personal
system of sorcery which nevertheless has come from a genuine Haitian lineage.
Those looking for the wilder atavistic energies of sex magick, as we find
embodied in the art of Austin Osman Spare, will find much of interest
in this book. Voudon Gnosis outlines a more complex and highly developed
system of sex magick than is found in the secret grade papers of the Western
magickal tradition.
Voudon Gnosis covers:
Las Prise
des Yeaux
Points Chauds
Spider Sorcery and Time Travelling
Elemental Sex Magick
The Grimoire Ghuedhe
With appendices on:
Nganga
and the Fetish
A-Mor, an initiated analysis of Love

characters in the modern occult revival.
